SUBSTANCE: in a mobile device the total accepted capacity represents signals received from all points of access. The method to detect the level of accepted capacity for a sector consists in the fact that a pilot signal of an access point is accepted from each point of access from multiple points of access, a channel characteristic is defined in a time area from pilot signals of each point of access, the level of accepted digital capacity is defined for a sector from each channel characteristic in the time area, the level of accepted capacity is defined from each point of access from multiple points of access based at least on the appropriate accepted level of the digital capacity, besides, a point of access represents a sector, and the estimated energy is calculated at the output of an analog to digital converter (ADC) for a sector as , where pk,s is the digital capacity for a sector with an index s and an antenna with an index k, and Ek is the total accepted capacity at the outlet of ADC.

EFFECT: increased service life of a battery and reduced capacity sent by a basic station.
