FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for colouring white potassium chloride to make product with colour inherent in floatation potassium chloride. Proposed method of colouring potassium chloride in red-brown colour comprise processing by pigment suspension in water solution at consumption of 100-3000 g of pigment per 1 t of potassium chloride. Pigment is based on iron oxides. Apart from pigment, solution contains finely dispersed potassium chloride in amount of 10-50% by wt of potassium chloride solution weight. Water solution represents a concentrated solution of potassium chloride. Potassium chloride is treated in its dewatering.
EFFECT: uniform distribution of colouring pigment, netter physical and mechanical properties.
