FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: meat cooling chamber comprises body, air cooler, fan, air distribution channel, slot, guide gates, single-rail suspended tracks, source of high voltage supply, generating electrode and grounded electrode in the form of metal net. Generating and grounded electrodes are installed along each single-rail suspended track as equidistance relative to them at the level of cooled carcasses or their cuts and form tunnels. Generating electrode is arranged in the form of thin solid metal base, onto which needle elements with sharpened ends are placed at the angle of 90° arranged in staggered order.
EFFECT: using this invention makes it possible to intensify air cooling of carcasses due to local application of electric convective air flow and to reduce natural loss of product mass with application of cooling system.
