FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: measuring method of electrostatic field at which normalisation collinear field with external measured field is created and two measurements are made at normalisation potentials equal as to module, but opposite as to the sign; intensity of external electric field is determined as ratio of sum of two measurements to module of difference of those measurements considering the calibration coefficient. It is achieved owing to the fact that ring-shaped fixed normalisation electrode setting the normalisation potential is introduced coaxially with measuring electrode. As the measurement result is in direct proportion to vibration amplitude of electromechanical system, normalisation of the result by the vibration amplitude allows specifying the value depending only on intensity of external electric field. Besides, the device implementing the above method is proposed.
