METHOD OF VERTICAL GASTROPLASTY FOR TREATMENT OF ALIMENTARY OBESITY Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A61B17/00

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, to abdominal surgery, gastroenterology and can be used for treatment of alimentary obesity. For this purpose stomach is mobilised from antral part to esophageal-gastric junction on greater curvature, by transaction of ligamentous apparatus of stomach. Indenting 2.0-6.0 cm from esophageal-gastric junction, on greater curvature, and 1.5-3.0 cm from lesser curvature, on posterior wall of stomach the first puncture of needle is made. Next, in radial direction series of sero-muscular stitches is made, with transition onto anterior wall of stomach, with last puncture of needle at the distance from 1.5 to 3.0 cm from lesser curvature of stomach. The following series of sutures is applied at the distance 2-3 cm from each other, with further tightening of thread with preservation of the distance of the first puncture from lesser curvature of stomach.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to reduce volume of stomach, achieve stable reduction of body weight, reduce the number of intra- and post-operational complications.
