TWIST DRILL Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC B23B35/00 B23B51/02 B23P15/32

Abstract RU 2414996 C2

FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: proposed twist drill has stem, rotational axis and cutting head with cutting edge. Note here that cutting edge inner cutting part forms the crest, while radially outer cutting part comprises outer cutting part inclined in opposite axial direction relative to inner cutting part at 2° to 8° relative to the plane perpendicular to rotational axis. Note also that outer cutting part and crest converge, and cylindrical tape. Mind that outer cutting part runs to the most distant edge of cylindrical tape.

EFFECT: increased machining quality nearby crest making 128° to 160°.
