FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to drilling holes in hard-to-process materials or composite materials reinforced with fiber. Drill comprises at least one cutting edge and face located adjacent to cutting edge. On the face the recess is made, having the specified planar shape, at that, when the processed section is processed by drilling for formation of a hole, lubricating material assisting the processing process is retained in the recess, which has maximum depth of 0.05 mm or more and 0.15 mm or less. Recess is made in the form of a linear groove formed parallel to the cutting edge at 0.25 mm or more and 0.43 mm or less. Groove has average width of 0.23 mm or more and 0.30 mm or less.
EFFECT: efficient heat removal.
