FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: unit for heating cylinder metal part of specified diametre by means of hot gas facilitating extension of said cylinder part consists of heating devices and circular chamber limited with cylinder wall. The heating devices are arranged along tangent relative to the cylinder wall, each device facilitates supply of hot gas flow along tangential constituent and is opened into the circular chamber, internal diametre of which slightly exceeds the said specified diametre. The circular chamber consists of an internal perforated wall, while heating devices are arranged at uniform distance one from another and are electrical. The procedure for heating the metal journal enclosing a roll bearing ring consists in implementation of the above described unit for heating.
EFFECT: raised uniformity of heating cylinder parts.
