FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: proposed invention may be used to determine radial clearances between gas turbine rotor vane end faces and housing in experiments and gas turbine engine development. Proposed device comprises peripheral vision endoscope and clearance image registrator. Said endoscope is made up of two periscopic observation and illumination probes arranged in two spaced apart holes on turbine housing. Note here that optical axes of probes intersect in the area of measured clearance to form angles of specular indicence and reflection with the plane tangential to vane suction face nearby exit edge. Note here that illumination probe comprises source of light in spectrum blue-violet region, while observation probe comprises TV camera with bandpass optical filter with transmission in the same spectral range. Optical systems of probes generate parallel beams of illumination and observation rays.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of measurements in high-temperature gas turbine engines.
