FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves extraction of manganese (II) from a solution which contains chloride ions, a complexing agent and an extraction agent with subsequent analysis of the extract, where the extraction agent and complexing agent used is a mixture of low-melting diantipyryl hexyl methane and salicylic acid, taken in molar ratio 1:1. Extraction is carried out in an acidic medium of HCl 6 mol/l and temperature 70-80°C. The required concentration of chloride ions is achieved through further addition of magnesium chloride to the solution until achieving concentration thereof equal to 0.005-1.25 mol/l, and then analysing the extract complexometrically.
EFFECT: simpler and more efficient analysis.
