FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to electric terminal for electric switchgear, which is intended for electric connection of terminal strip (2) of the above switchgear to connection block terminal (3) and/or to electric power supply cable (4), which contains terminal clamp (8) electrically connected to the above terminal strip (2) and intended to grip the tooth (15) of the above block terminal (3) in connection position, and clamping terminal (6) which when in clamped position is intended to press cable (4) to the above connection terminal strip of the switchgear. This terminal differs by the fact that it contains the device for electric connection of cable (4), tooth (15) and terminal strip (2) by pressing the tooth (15) to terminal strip (2) in clamped position of terminal (1). At that, tooth (15) is clamped between fixed and movable parts of the above terminal clamp so that the current flowing via cable (4) flows through terminal strip (2) and to tooth (15) not bypassing movable part (10) of terminal clamp (8).
EFFECT: providing high current carrying capacity at small sizes of terminal clamp.
