FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing motor fuel components by hydroforming liquid products of a reforming process containing less than 55 wt % aromatic hydrocarbons, where C5+ - liquid highly aromatised reforming products or a fraction extracted from the C5+ - highly aromatised reforming products, which boils in the temperature range of 36-102°C, is mixed with a hydrogen-containing gas which is a mixture of hydrogen and C1-C4 hydrocarbon gases, and fed into a hydrogenation reactor with a catalyst containing platinum group metal(s), where at temperature not higher than 350°C and pressure not lower than 0.35 MPa, aromatic hydrocarbons undergo hydrogenation and are converted to saturated cycloalkane hydrocarbons, C5+ - hydrogenation products are separated from the hydrogen-containing gas and are removed from the process as an ecological component of motor fuel, where content of aromatic hydrocarbons in the C5+ is not less than 42 wt %, and the octane number is greater than 92 points.
EFFECT: high output of C5+ high-octane products, which correspond to Euro-3 standard requirements.
