SUBSTANCE: invention discloses an adaptive method implemented by a mobile station which improves the probability of detecting control messages transmitted to the mobile station within the bandwidth over a shared downlink. When a mobile station expects a control message to be sent over the shared downlink, the mobile station can adapt configuration of the receiver and/or receiver parametres to lower the probability of missed detection of control messages. In one version, the mobile station is configured to control the threshold correlation value used for the said detection of scheduled transmission in order to lower the probability of missed detection.
EFFECT: stable transmission of signals between a base station and a mobile station.
