FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture. In method the plant need is assessed in mineral nutrition elements with leaf diagnostics by detection of a response in the form of difference in photochemical activity of chloroplast suspension from the average sample of fresh leaves, while adding a diagnosed element in it in concentration of 10-4-10-10 M and without addition of the element. The diagnosed elements are added into the suspension at the levels of their absence and availability in mixes made according to the matrix of random balance method planning. Elements required for plants nutrition are identified based on the adjusted response, and these elements are included into the nutrient medium in the ratio proportional to their contribution into the response.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase efficiency of fertilisation by detection of the balanced ratio in the nutrient medium between the nutrition elements, which the plant lacks.
