FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalytic elements. Described is a catalytic element having a regular structure, characterised by that the element consists of two structurally merged components, the first component being a bearing matrix, made from one or more types of highly porous permeable cellular materials in which space is formed, and the second component being discrete granules of one or more types, which completely or partly lie in the formed space at least in one of the matrices.
EFFECT: described catalytic element enables to regulate heat- and mass-exchange parametres of processes by combining catalyst components of one or more different types; avoiding loss of the catalytic element due to wearing.
