FIELD: systems for reducing toxicity of waste gases of internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: neutralizer has housing with intake and exhaust branch pipes and catalyst block arranged inside it. Catalyst block is made on base of heat-resistant open-cell high-porous Ni-Cr alloy with catalytic composition of noble metals applied over aluminium oxide primer coat. Catalyst is made in form of block consisting of separate plates located at distance equal to 10-15 diameters of inner cells. It is good practice to use plates with through holes whose diameter is equal to 1-5 diameters of cell. Aluminium oxide primer coat is modified with lactanum oxide and/or oxides of trivalent or tetravalent cerium. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of cleaning. 3 cl
