FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of suspensions and may be used to separate solid phase from liquid phase in coal preparation, chemical, processing and food industries, treatment of effluents and household waste waters. Proposed centrifuge comprises housing, rotor made up of cylindrical and conical parts, screw arranged coaxially inside said rotor, said screw being made up of hollow drum with spiral coils secured thereon. There is a clearance between screw drum and rotor to accommodate screw spiral coils. Rotor conical part has precipitate unloading openings while rotor cylindrical part has centrifuge centrate unloading openings. There are webs arranged ahead of precipitate unloading openings to extend beyond rotor conical part generator by 0-0.95 of the height of gap between screw drum and rotor in the zone of said webs that feature thickness making 0-0.5 of screw spiral pitch. At 0-2.5 of screw spiral pitch from the webs, screw spiral has height making 0-0.9 of clearance between screw drum and rotor.
EFFECT: reduced moisture content of precipitate.
