FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: unit of worm gear consists of worm (280) with at least one groove (280a) and wheel (275) with multitude of rotating pins (275a) arranged along its periphery and engaging worm. The pins rotate in the direction different from direction of wheel rotation. At least one race (265) contacts pins not engaged with the worm during unit operation.
EFFECT: increased service life of worm gear due to minimisation of friction between components of gear.
