SUBSTANCE: device contains a housing with a cylindrical path in which a screw is located. The worm screw turns in at least one portion of the screw are in the form of turns of a worm and are engaged with at least one group of worm gears. The group includes at least two worm gears. The discrete material is fed along the cylindrical path. A deformation effect is provided on the material enclosed in the grooves between the screw turns and the teeth of the worm gears during their engagement with the screw turns.
EFFECT: high compression stresses are created in the deformation processing zone of the material and a high degree of shear deformation is provided in one pass of the material through this zone.
