SUBSTANCE: method involves reception of at least one pilot signal from the transmitting side. The pilot signal is represented either by type 0 or type 1. The method also involves determination of which of type 0 or type 1 is presented in the received pilot signal, and activation of a space-time decoder to perform space-time decoding if the pilot signal is of type 1.
EFFECT: method of identifying a space-time coded signal in wireless communication system, having different decoder types.
