SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering. The method involves steps on which a broadcast physical layer packet is initially transmitted in accordance with a fixed transmission format for at least one first interval period and the broadcast physical layer packet is retransmitted for at least one second interval period using a varying transmission format which differs from the transmission format used in the first interval period.
EFFECT: transmission of a broadcast physical layer packet in a mobile communication system which supports transmission with several intervals and hybrid automatic repeat request (H-ARQ).
