FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to railway transport, namely, to railway vehicle braking cylinder rod automatic retainers. Proposed automatic retainer consists of two wedge clamps, two air drives of braking clamps communicated via unions with braking line pipelines, brake cylinder and lines of braking valve cylinder. Wedge clamps serve to lock brake cylinder rod in braked position by engagement between brake cylinder rod rack and locking clamps. Locking clamp air drives are made up of two independent double-acting air cylinders with pistons and springs for automatic control of locking clamps. Braking valve consists of metal cylinder with piston-type slide valve and rubber sleeve gaskets, adjusting spring and adjusting bolt to slightly and automatically brake the piston of brake cylinder to disengage the teeth of brake cylinder rod and retainer pressure axle teeth in releasing clamping action.
EFFECT: minimised friction between teeth, sooth and noiseless disengagement of retainer teeth, longer life of said teeth.
