FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: reinforcing hot-rolled steel rod is quenched by accelerated chilling. Also, the rod is quenched in axial direction on sections shorter comparing to non- quenched sections. The sections differ according to periodic law along whole length of the hot rolled reinforcing rod, while cross section of the rod stays the same.
EFFECT: raised seismic resistance of concrete building structures.
