SUBSTANCE: method is based on user interaction in ordering search results returned by a search engine. Each of a plurality of records in a database is associated with a user-interaction parametre that is associated with the duration of time that a user accesses a particular record of the search result. Provided that the duration of time that the user accesses the record is greater than a predetermined relevant time period, the user-interaction parametre is weighted to increase the relevance of this record in relation to records that were not accessed during the relevant time period used in ordering the records identified in a result set generated in response to a search request.

EFFECT: high efficiency of accessing a database based on user interaction.
