SUBSTANCE: substance for application as a medication, including solid mixed compound of metals of formula (I): MII 1-aMIII aObAn- c·zH2O (I), where MII represents at least one bivalent metal, MIII represents Fe3+, An- represents at least one n-valent anion, z equals 2 or less, a = number of moles MIII /(number of moles MII + number of moles MIII), 2+a=2b+Σcn and Σcn<0.9a. Invention also relates to a method of obtaining said substance, which includes heating at temperature between 225°C to 550°C for 5 hours of compound, including structure of foliated double hydroxide. Invention also relates to application of said substance for obtaining a medication and pharmaceutical composition for binding phosphate and for prevention or treatment of hyperphosphatemia.
EFFECT: reducing the loss of bivalent metals in phosphate-binding substances.
