FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to pharmaceutics. Disclosed is use of mixed metal compounds to prepare medicinal agent for neutralization of gastric acid or buffer action thereon or for treating conditions or diseases associated with unfavourable levels of acid in stomach. Mixed metal compound includes at least one trivalent metal selected from iron (III) and aluminium, and at least one bivalent metal selected from magnesium, iron, zinc, calcium, lanthanum and cerium. Mixed metal compound is compound of formula (III):

where MII denotes at least one bivalent metal MIII denotes at least one trivalent metal An- denotes at least one n-valence anion, n is valence of A, x = Σny, 0 < x ≤ 0.4, 0 < y ≤ 1, 0 ≤ m ≤ 10. At that, size of crystallites of mixed metal compounds is less than 200 Å. Disclosed is also dosage form containing mixed metal compound of formula (III).
EFFECT: invention provides buffer action on gastric acid, at that, causing no effect of acidic ricochet.
