FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, namely, to rolling mill stand. Proposed stand comprises frame, foundation with horizontal rolls fitted on shafts coupled with the drive of spindles including bushes, mechanism to couple-uncouple the shafts and spindles, and horizontal motion hydraulic cylinder. Mechanism to couple-uncouple the shafts and spindles represents a beam supporting vertical cylindrical posts and cylindrical guides arranged on sides of foundation frame and running in plain bearings. Said vertical cylindrical posts have inner sliding sleeves accommodating slides with hydraulic locks fitted therein to move driven by hydraulic cylinders. Horizontal motion hydraulic cylinder is arranged on the bracket fixed on the frame in the plane of spindles, while hydraulic cylinder axis and those of guides are located in one horizontal plane.
EFFECT: higher efficiency, reliability and reparability, as well as improved servicing conditions.
