SUBSTANCE: feature of the proposed method is the fact that relief strips are formed on the fabric surface with various width, and direction of relief strips is changed along the fabric length due to change of the sign of horizontal overlap shift for the opposite one, and the pattern of relief strips via several complete repetitions of the repeat is periodically interrupted after the specified quantity of the main threads along the border of interruption, and the pattern of relief strips continues from its start to the similar next interruption. Effect of alternating lengthy sections periodically interrupted along the base is produced on the fabric surface, and sections are made of relief strips, which change their direction along the fabric length. Besides, because of interruptions, some strips are visually perceived in one plane, and the other part - in the other parallel distance plane.

EFFECT: expanded assortment of fabrics.
