METHOD TO TIE KNOT FOR TYING TWO FLEXIBLE ROPES, CABLES Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC D04G5/00 

FIELD: textile, paper.

SUBSTANCE: method to tie a knot for tying of two flexible ropes, cables, comprising oppositely arranged half-knots, including the left and the right loops with running and bitter ends. At the same time one of the loops, for instance, the right one lies on the running and bitter ends of the left loop, going from the right to the left, and the left loop is accordingly under both ends of the right loop going from the left to the right. Further using the running end of, for instance, the left loop is used to form a figure of eight with an additional loop, pulling the specified running end of the left loop under and above the thread of its bitter end, turning in an arched manner to form an additional loop, further the specified running end of the left half-knot is pulled under its threads in the middle of the formed knot to the exit. Further, using the same method, the figure of eight is formed with threads of the right loops, having turned the formed knot by half a turn, the bitter ends are pulled apart in opposite directions, with preliminary tightening, and then additionally final tightening is carried out with the running ends of both half-knots.

EFFECT: increased strength and reliability of a knot joint, elimination of creep, elimination of necessity to tie a running end to a bitter end with a line.
