DRIVE UNIT WITH HEAT RECOVERY Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC F01P3/20 F01P9/00

Abstract RU 2420666 C2

FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: drive unit of automobile, which includes internal combustion engine (10), low pressure compressor (11), high pressure compressor (12) and pressurised air supply device with pressurised air cooling unit (13, 14) and waste gas removal system by means of which waste gas is removed from internal combustion engine (10) is described. Drive unit also includes cooling system at least with one cooling circuit (1) in which heat exchanger through which working medium flows is arranged and which is cooled with ambient air, at least one cooler (9) of waste gas and pressurised air cooling unit (13, 14) built into waste gas removal system is located. At that, pressurised air cooling unit (13, 14) includes intermediate cooler (13) of pressurised air and main cooler (14) of pressurised air, which in thermal ratio are connected at least to one cooling circuit (1) so that intermediate cooler (13) of pressurised air is located in direction of pressurised air flow between low pressure compressor (11) and high pressure compressor (12), and main cooler of pressurised air (14) is connected after high pressure compressor (12). The described invention is characterised by the fact that there provided is at least one first cooling circuit (20), as well as one second cooling circuit (21), which are hydraulically isolated at least by means of one heat exchanger by means of which the first and the second cooling circuits are in thermal contact, and at least partial phase transition occurs at one of the operating stages of cooling system in cooling agent contained in the second cooling circuit.

EFFECT: higher heat exchange efficiency between various components of automobile without loss of input power.
