FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: device has an antenna system which is in form of vertical antennae lying in a horizontal plane, a switch, a two-channel receiving device, a digital phasemetre, a device for measuring angle of arrival of radio waves in the vertical and horizontal planes, a device for determining the arrival sector of radio waves and a recording device. The switch alternately switches one of the antenna pairs to inputs of the two-channel receiving device. Phase shift of electromotive force (emf) induced in the antennae is measured using the digital phase metre. The angle of arrival of radio waves in the horizontal and vertical planes is calculated based on the condition that the antenna bases in the horizontal plane are at the corners of a right-angled isosceles triangle, one of the vertices of which is directed strictly to the north.

EFFECT: simple device with unambiguous direction finding of radio radiation sources.
