FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device has first and second optical nonofibres, an output optican nanofibre, an optical nanofibre N-input coupler, two constant optical signal sources and two extensible nanotubes. Outputs of the first and second sources are connected to inputs of the first and second optical fibres, respectively. The output of the first nanofibre is optically connected to the input of the output nanofibre. The extensible nanotubes lie between the output of the coupler and the output of the second nanofibre on the propagation axis of their output optical signals such that in the outermost left-sided position, the inner nanotube breaks the optical connection between the output of the first nanofibre and the input of the output fibre.
EFFECT: transmission of a signal to the output of the device, where said signal is at most of the inputs of the device, with high speed which is potentially achievable for pure optical information processing devices, simplification of the device and its nanoscale design.
