SUBSTANCE: floor which is required for a client terminal for distributing a media element to at least one terminal participating with the client terminal in the push-to-talk session, is managed depending on information relating to the size of that media element. Floor management comprises at least one of floor issuing, supporting and denial. Information may be sent from the client terminal in a floor requesting message. In response to receiving the message from the client terminal requesting the floor, the client terminal is issued or denied the floor depending on the information. The floor may be denied if the media element is larger than a predetermined size. Information may also be sent to at least one terminal participating in the session for use in indicating the progress of extracting the media element during the session and/or for allocating memory for storing the media element.
