FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural engineering industry and may be used in machines to pick up harvested mass lying on the ground. The picking device comprises a pressing device, a picker drum equipped with rake teeth and a transporting and/or cutting device arranged behind along with the harvested mass flow direction. The pressing device passes in a transverse manner to direction of the harvester motion and comprises the first and additional pressing elements. The first pressing element is located within the area of the picker drum action. The additional pressing element is located outside the picker drum action area and performs preliminary compaction of the harvested mass by its pressing down to the ground. The first and additional pressing elements are arranged with the possibility of displacement relative to each other and independently on each other.
EFFECT: picking device ensures even and stable uninterrupted feed of the picked mass to subsequent processing organs.
