SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to cardiology and neurology. MR-venography of brain is carried out and degree of expression of venous sinus asymmetry. If asymmetry value is higher than 30% determined is expressed degree of hypertonic angioencephalopathy, which includes extension of lateral ventricles of brain, 3 degree of leukoaraiosis and presence of ischemic foci in basal ganglia.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase accuracy of hypertonic angioencephalopathy degree estimation and detect patients with high risk of cerebrovascular complications in patients with essential hypertension.
