FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method and device for synchronised positioning of continuous material belt for production of absorbing article with printed patterns. Continuous belt is intended for separation into cuts of rated length (LN) and comprises sync marks repeated in identical intervals (Ls). Proposed method consists in feeding material belt at first speed (V1) and second speed (V2) in processing device, detecting sync marks to position pattern in preset position on each article, generating virtual basic function on detecting sync mark, generating virtual basic function reading on detecting sync mark, comparing actual position with expected position of said function and stretching the belt in response to any deviation to compensate for it. Virtual basic function represents a cyclic sync pulse at which the number of clock periods per article or that of articles per clock period is integer. Stretching is carried out by varying first speed (V1) to make it higher than (V2). Proposed unit comprises first and second speed (V1 and V2), controllers, sync mark detector and computer-based control device to initiate read-off of actual position of virtual basic function on detecting sync mark and to stretch aforesaid belt via control over first and second speed (V1 and V2), controllers.

EFFECT: simplified control of synchronisation.
