FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to boron-containing compositions for use in glase. Disclosed is a boron-containing composition which is obtained by heating to temperature which is sufficiently high for annealing but insufficient for formation of a homogeneous melt. Said composition contains common components which, during heating, are capable of forming oxides B2O3, SiO2, Al2O3, Na2O and optionally CaO, in the following ratio in wt %: 10-18 B2O3, 40-65 SiO2, 17-32 Al2O3, 4-9 Na2O and 0-10 CaO. Disclosed boron-containing compositions may be used in different glase compositions, including those which do not contain frit, to together with frits which do not contain boron.
EFFECT: obtaining boron-containing glase with low solubility of boron and low power consumption.
