TECHNOLOGY TO STABILISE SLIDE SLOPES WITH STREAMLINED DEWATERING WELLS Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC E02D29/02 

FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: technology to stabilise slide slopes by means of their dehydration includes drilling a system of dewatering wells at the slope and their equipping with filters and submerged water-lifting pumps. Filtering columns at the side of sliding soils are equipped with a cutting element rigidly connected to the filtering column for the whole capacity of a slide massif. The filtering column structure is assembled from separate sections, to increase stiffness, metal gussets are welded in at each section, an angle of streamlining is adjusted with account of soil density. At the same time the gap between the filtering column and the well walls is filled with sand-gravel fill, streamlined wells are arranged along the slide slope in the form of a linear row or rows. The distance between adjacent wells is assigned as exceeding the critical distance calculated based on the theory of arch effect, which ensures wells streamlining with sliding soils, prevents deformation of wells, long-term duration of their operation, dehydration of slide massif and its stabilisation.

EFFECT: reduced material intensity and labour intensity, prevention of deformation in shafts of dewatering wells, provision of reduction in the level of ground waters and dehydration of soils, stabilisation of slide slope.
