SUBSTANCE: in the method water is fed, its filtered flow through a sample is created, where the sample is collected from the genetic horizon of the soil profile, water consumption is measured, from which the value of the filtration coefficient is determined. The value of the filtration coefficient is dynamic and corresponds to the curve of its change during the filtration period Tf, equal to the allowable duration of tapping gravity water [T] from the soil of the genetic horizon from which the sample was collected, taking into account the depth of collecting the sample, grown crops, crop rotation and corresponding drainage rates, but not longer than the filtration duration by moment for the beginning of stabilisation of the filtration process Ts, and its average value over the period with duration [T] is determined using the formula: 
where T and K are current values of the time and filtration coefficient, respectively, during the period of duration [T].
EFFECT: method increases efficiency of drying mineral soil.
