SUBSTANCE: device to send multi-protocol information flows comprises a transmitting terminal, which includes a coder-commutator, a synthesiser of subcarrier UHF, m channel optical transmitters with spaced wavelengths, a device to combine spectrally spaced optical channels, a linear optical track, a protocols analyser, a circuit of channel optical transmitters control, a device for input of multi-protocol information flows, clock frequency and switching signals in a terminal N, a controller of digital channels switchboard, a digital channels switchboard and a device for output of multi-protocol information flows and clock frequency from a terminal N. The method describes operation of this device.

EFFECT: increased validity of an optical signal transfer due to minimised effect of forced combinative dispersion when using various technologies of information transfer in spectral channels and required length of fibre optic communication line.
