FIELD: information technologies.

SUBSTANCE: DTE interface is automatically connected to interface of one of several computers, which demonstrated activity; possibility to switch interfaces with a full set of signals; priority connection of DTE interface to the interface of one of computers with simultaneous activity of several computers; possibility to manually control connection of DTE interface to the interface of the selected computer; possibility to analyse correctness of exchange process between DTE and a computer and transfer of analysis results into a network of automated control systems (ACS) monitoring to inform ACS service personnel about failures and faults that occur in process of exchange; possibility to control interface switching by ACS service personnel via the monitoring network. A microcontroller, a mechanical switch, a line of monitoring network interface, indicator light emitting diodes are introduced into the device. The microcontroller programme analyses conditions of its inputs and executes connection/disconnection of interface microcircuit chips, which correspond to the existing situation.

EFFECT: expansion of functional resources of an interface switch.
