FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method involves mounting legs, welding, pumping out, filling and basing. An aluminium reflecting layer is deposited on the outer surface of the bulb via ion-plasma sputtering in a working chamber in the glow discharge of an inert gas at pressure (1-2)×10-6 mm Hg, current 70-80 A, voltage 40-50 V and sputtering time of 5-10 minutes. The area of the sputtered aluminium reflecting layer on the outer surface of the bulb depends on geometrical parameters of the bulb of light sources at thickness 2.5-5.0 mcm depending on the sputtering time.
EFFECT: low mass and energy consumption when making reflecting light sources, improved cleanness of the volume of the light source, high reliability.
