FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture, selection, genetics and botanics. The method includes pollination of heads of diploid lines, devoid of own fertile pollen, with pollen of tetraploids, production of seeds, their germination and selection of plants. To select pseudogamy apomictic plants, corn seeds are split in halves, besides, one half that carriers an embryo is used to produce a plant and to analyse its morphological criteria, and the other half - for electrophoretic analysis of endosperm proteins spectrum. At the same time pseudogamy apomictic plants are plants of matroclinous type, which grew from seeds, where the spectrum of endosperm proteins differs from maternal line.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to detect apomictic plants formed as a result of pseudogamy apomixis in pollen-free mode and to use them when there are no lines available with marker genes.
