FIELD: plant breeding. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to obtaining novel commercial heterosis sorghum hybrids F1 utilizing, as maternal form, a form with variable expression of masculine fertility capable of reproduction both as itself and by producing hybrids when pollen of other sorghum forms is available. Reproduction of maternal form in this case is effected on an isolated area where only this form is sowed in absence of its fertile analog. Paternal form utilized has blossoming period exceeding that of maternal form. The latter is proposed to be, in particular, a soma-clonal line of grain sorghum and the former a line with intensive bushing out ensuring prolonged blossoming period.
