FIELD: biology.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to genetics and reproductive biology of plants. Invention represents a method of producing fertile lines sorghum, which are reducing agents for fertility for CMS type 9 (e), involving growing of hybrid plants, obtained from crossing CMS-lines and fertile lines assessment of their reducing capacity in test crosses with CMS-lines, where hybrid plants are grown under conditions of a greenhouse, facilitating reversion to male fertility, and their posterity is grown in field conditions, where collecting fertile plants is carried on, capable of reducing fertility of hybrids F1.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain line-male fertility reducers for sterile cytoplasm sorghum type 9 (e).
