FIELD: fire-fighting means.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to fire-fighting equipment, particularly to fire extinguishing aerosols. The offered low-temperature flame-less aerosol-generating fire extinguishing composition contains, wt %: potassium nitrate - 30…70 and fibre as a fuel binder - the rest. The method of producing the fire extinguishing composition is characterised by the fact that swelling cellulose fibre in a hot saturated aqueous solution is impregnated with potassium nitrate, wrung out to humidity 40…60 wt %, then dried with hot air to humidity 1…2 wt %. The technical effect ensured by using the offered composition and implementation of the method is creation of such composition wherein the fuel binder has a low combustion value and a relatively high oxygen content in a molecular link (high oxygen balance) that shall enable transforming the composition combustion process in a low-temperature flame-less mode with maintaining the acceptable values of fire extinguishing efficiency and carbon monoxide content.

EFFECT: invention extends the methods of further preparation of bulk aerosol-generating composition due to the application of a pulp-and-paper material, namely a pulp rolling, milling and dead pressing technology.
