FIELD: fire fighting, in particular, fire-fighting facilities; applicable in prevention and extinguishing of fire in closed space including habitable rooms and also neutralization of toxic products formed in fire. SUBSTANCE: chamber method of production of low-temperature flameless nontoxic fire extinguishing mixture designed for formation of fire-extinguishing medium in space under protection, consists in conduction simultaneously inside chamber of mixing processes of high-temperature products of combustion of aerosol-forming compound with noncombustible aerosol-forming substance and/or with oxidizer, and/or with special reagent (compounds, components) selectively reacting and neutralizing of toxic products of incomplete combustion of aerosol-forming substance, extinguishing of flame of formed fire-extinguishing mixture, its cooling, neutralization and/or complete oxidation of toxic products of incomplete combustion of aerosol-forming substance. Organization of process of fire-extinguishing mixture ensures and guarantees production of fire-extinguishing steam-smoke-gas aerosol mixture with parameters controlled within wide ranges of temperature, chemical composition and particle dispersion. In this case, due to processes taking part in chamber, formed fire-extinguishing mixture being low-temperature, flameless and nontoxic one, provides for formation in protected space of fire-extinguishing medium which produces simultaneously inhibiting effect on physical-chemical processes of combustion in fire, cooling effect on fire flame and neutralizing (complete oxidation) effect on toxic products formed in fire. Method is realized by specially devised device. EFFECT: higher efficiency of fire extinguishing with exclusion of open flame, reduction of temperature and toxicity of fire-extinguishing mixture and fire-extinguishing mixture formed in protected space by the mixture. 13 cl, 8 dwg
