FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of composite powder from metal melts. Proposed method comprises evaporating metal melts into intake container with cooling fluid to produce metal particles, drying and sieving said particles. Note here that metal melt evaporation if executed by feeding them into separate gas dynamic jets adjusted to spray said melts and disperse them in said jets. Each of said gas dynamic jets is formed by, at least, two or more interacting supersonic working gas jets effusing from nozzles to envelop, at least, one metal melt stream. Formed metal particles are mixed up in said intake container with cooling fluid to produce metal particles, dried and sieved. Composite powder particles are formed by sintering metal particles.
EFFECT: dispersed composite powder.
