FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to bioengineering and particularly to methods of improving quality of water obtained using physical and chemical methods from human waste products (urine, sanitary-hygienic water etc). The method of treating water reclaimed from water-containing human waste products involves passing said water through a column containing a cationite, an anionite, activated carbon and collecting the end product. The cationite used is a sulphonated copolymer of styrene with divinylbenzene KU-2X16 in Cu form. The anionite used is a strongly basic anionite which is copolymerised with quaternary benzyltrimethylammonium groups - AV-17-10-Pc. The bacterial structure used is Pseudomonas bacteria and the activated carbon used is activated carbon BAU. Urease which is immobilised on aminosilochrome, as well as a bacterial culture immobilised on expanded polyvinylformal, are added to the column, with the following weight ratio of immobilised urease, immobilised bacterial culture, cationite, anionite and activated carbon equal to 1:1:1:1,5:2.
EFFECT: invention increases quality of water.
