SUBSTANCE: Penicillium simplicissimum (Oudem.) Thom fungus strain is recovered from sea ground collected at depth 11 m of Amur Bay of the Sea of Japan; and it is deposited in the Russian National Collection of Microorganisms of G.K.Skryabin Institute of Microbial Biochemistry and Physiology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, registration No. VKM F-4116D. The strain is cultivated with using a nutrient medium not containing sugars. Total yield of sherinines is 55 mg/l of the nutrient medium made of liquid wort and sea water, and 36.5 g in 1 kg of the nutrient medium containing millet.
EFFECT: strain is characterised by high-efficiency sherinines exhibiting anticancer activity.
